Hydrotherapy, i.e. the hot-cold-relax cycle, is an effective way of releasing tensions in both the mind and the body while also energizing the body and put it at complete rest especially after physical activity. Moreover, without it being really intentional, this practice introduces you to meditation. This vivid reaction of our body to the surprise of the cold forces it to relax and in doing so, forces our mind to focus on the present moment, helping achieve a meditative state.
